Asthma

Asthma is the condition affecting the respiratory tract which causes the individual to cough and experience difficulties in breathing.

Anemia

Anemia appears when there are low levels of red blood cells in circulation.

Aspirate

To inhale into the respiratory tract and pulmonary organs. To draw out using absorption.

Alveolus

The air-filled space at which the transfer of gas occurs.

Angina

To experience discomfort in the thorax area.

Aorta

Is the biggest artery found in the human system. This artery is in charge of pumping blood from one of the four chambers of the heart to the body.

Apex

Located in the lungs at the highest section of the superior lobe.

Atrium

Chamber located in the heart responsible for collecting blood.

Anthracosis

Develops as a result of the exposure to fine powdered coal.

Asbestosis

Characterized by the appearance of a certain group of minerals in the lungs.

Adenoiditis

Occurs when the pharyngeal tonsils become inflamed.

Atelectasis

The closure of the primary organs of the respiratory system or the deflation of the lungs air sacs.

Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)

Condition affecting people of a certain age that results in lack of oxygen in the blood. It develops as a consequence of some type of damage to a person’s health.
