Very efficient, just put it on the dash and plug into the cigarette lighter!
The Schumacher Solar charger has been great for cars that are not used often. It helps keep very old batteries around longer.

Decent battery maintainer.
Produces voltage, even in brightly lit room. Remember this is a "Maintainer", not designed to charge a battery up quickly, from -0- volts. Will keep your battery topped off. Well-made, very sturdy, so far.

Battery maintainer
It might charge a 12 volt battery if not too badly discharged. If connected to battery could probably be used to charge cell phone, but registered 23 volts just out in the sun and not connected to battery.

Works beautifully
I've had a 12 volt battery on my pop up camper hooked to this unit for 2.5 months while in storage. Checked on it yesterday and checked battery at 13.4 volts ! Exceeded my expectations.

I have only used this solar charger for one winter season on a pick up truck, and it did keep the battery charged. It is mounted on the south side of my utility building to catch the maximum amount of winter sun.

Easy to use
