    cool socks, (maybe too cool)

    I got these to replace the Tilley XL travel socks that have been out of stock for years now, (made by Fox River, but sold through Tilley.) I use them as dress socks both in dress shoes and alone in carpeted and tiled areas. Unfortunately in these ones my feet are cold. The Tilley ones worked well in both hot and cold climates by slightly compressing your feet to keep them warm, but being thin enough to keep your feet cool in hot conditions. I haven't tried these ones in hot conditions yet, but my feet are cold in cooler conditions. The socks feel about the same thickness as the Tilley ones, bu

    Classic Wool Medium Weight Crew

    I really like these socks. I've been wearing them here in Wisconsin during the cooler months for over a decade. But these last two years I've been wearing them year round. I really can't tell if they are that much warmer in the summer. But, my feet are not as wet and virtually have no more smell. I would have given these 4.5 star if you had it. The only reason that I knocked them a half star is the new ones that I bought this year seem to be blended different than those that I bought a couple of years ago. They don't feel quite as nice as my older ones.
